Agricultural Marketing Information Network – AGMARKNET - links up 750 mandis, 75 State Agricultural Marketing Boards and Directorates in the country and provides online information on prices of over 300 major commodities - another 2000 mandis will be connected in two years and balance 4000 in 3-4 years. Farmers can access these rates from the mandi itself or from the nearest Community Information Centre if located in difficult mountainous terrain. AGMARKNET has played a catalytic role in ushering in market led agricultural extension in India.
